What is barley grass juice powder?
Barley grass juice powder is extracted from the juice of young barley grass sprouts and then dried into powder. The manufacturing process is particularly gentle, ensuring that the naturally occurring nutrients are preserved.
For this purpose, the juice is extracted from the young shoots of the barley grass plant. The moisture is then removed from the juice at low temperatures to preserve its raw quality. The resulting juice is then ground into a fine, high-quality barley grass juice powder that is a great addition to a balanced diet and provides an extra dose of green.
Barley grass juice powder is easier to digest than barley grass powder because the cell walls of the grass are broken down during the juice powder production process, making the nutrients more accessible and bioavailable. However, barley grass juice powder contains less fiber than barley grass powder.
Barley grass is considered a true nature's superfood. Due to its high chlorophyll content and dense nutrient composition, cereal grasses like barley grass are particularly valued. They are not only rich in vitamins, but also contain amino acids, fiber, and minerals. Because barley grass sprouts exhibit high enzymatic activity, the minerals they contain are highly bioavailable.
Our tip: Prepare a barley grass juice latte by mixing 1 teaspoon of barley grass juice powder with 150ml of water (room temperature) or mixing it with a hand-held milk frother and then adding about 50ml of plant milk.
